The core is simple: Columbus and Muscogee County are one consolidated government, so every address in the county is covered and uses the same Inspections and Code office, (706) 225-4126. From there the area follows the roads people actually drive, up I-185 into Harris and Troup counties, northeast into Meriwether County and southeast into Chattahoochee County. Each town in the list sits in its own county with its own permit office, which is why each one has its own page.
The service covers Georgia addresses only. If your home sits outside the towns and counties named here, call and ask; we will tell you honestly if we can't help.

Near the Edge of the Area?
Addresses near a county line can be confusing. A Columbus mailing address doesn't always mean a Columbus permit: near Fortson, homes on the Harris County side use the county office, while homes on the Muscogee side use the city's. If you are not sure which side you are on, your property tax bill names the county. The roofer handles any permit the office requires, but it helps to know which office that is before work starts.
If your home sits a little beyond the towns listed, call (706) 555-0147 and describe where you are. Sometimes the roofer covers a nearby road; sometimes not, and we will say so plainly rather than stretch the area.
